Charleston Lake sits on the Frontenac Axis, where the Canadian Shield reaches down into Eastern Ontario — granite ridges, thin soil and a long, irregular shoreline full of bays and islands. Charleston Lake is one of our two bases, alongside Russell, so we know the roads, the rock and what the ice does to a shoreline every spring.
Most of our work here is for cottage and waterfront owners around the lake and in nearby Athens and Lyndhurst: armour stone walls to stop erosion, beach and waterfront grading, cottage driveways and laneways over rock, and site prep for additions and outbuildings. Shoreline work on Charleston Lake usually needs a permit from Cataraqui Conservation, and we'll help you sort that out before we start.
We're an owner-operated crew that takes pride in the finish: we walk every site before we price it, show up when we say we will, and leave it graded out clean. That's how we've built our reputation across Eastern Ontario, one job at a time.
Yes. We work out of two locations, Russell and Charleston Lake, so jobs around the lake aren't a long-distance trip for us — they're local.
In most cases, yes. Cataraqui Conservation requires a permit for shoreline alterations, retaining walls and erosion work, and other approvals can apply too. We'll walk you through what your project needs before we start.
Usually. A mini excavator and skid steer fit down most cottage lanes, and we plan the route to protect trees and rock. If your property has water access only, call and we'll talk through options.
